Absztrakt (kivonat)
This work provides a brief description of the new Modulated Complex Lapped Transform (MCLT) based watermarking method for digital audio authenticity. The peculiarity of this watermarking method is the preservation of the sound quality of the marked audio signals. The marker embedded in the audio signal is fragile and collapses at the slightest impact. To reach the aim and not only to verify the integrity of the audio signal but also to locate the exact place of the modification, the watermarking method has been supplemented with a new data insertion protocol. The new insertion protocol is also described in the article. Several numerical experiments were made in order to quantify the accuracy and the reliability of the tampering detection against four classical attacks (cropping, insertion, muting, and additive noise). The proposed algorithm could be used as a decision support tool for audio forensic verification purposes, that allows one to identify if an audio signal has been modified, and to detect the time segments in which it has been modified.
