This study investigated the situation of disadvantaged and Roma children in the Hungarian education system during the Covid-19 pandemic. Case study research was conducted with 7 interviewees working in after-schools to examine the experiences of the transition to digital education, first and second wave of the pandemic, school performance and the possible solutions addressing digital divide. The present inequalities affecting these families have made worse by the pandemic considering digital skills and competencies. The research has shown that the pandemic has led to a serious backlog among these children, which was already significant before Covid-19.
