Cooperative learning activities in esp trainings of the national tax and customs administration

Abstract

This paper examines the different cooperative techniques either by observing the theoretical background of it, either by inquiring into the application of these techniques in ESP trainings at the National Tax and Customs Administration of Hungary. By carrying out and analyzing a research, the thesis collects evidence for the question whether these techniques are sufficient to be applied for the personnel of the tax office in their every day work procedures. The author herein uses quantitative research strategy. Data have been collected from a questionnaire filled in by the employees who had already participated in ESP programmes. The results challenge the argument that the cooperative techniques used in ESP trainings cannot enhance collaboration within work place circumstances.
