Absztrakt (kivonat)

Research premises: We built a frame that Buddhist ideologies can provide a new scope to the existing management difficulties of building better interpersonal relationships. Relevance of the Research Topic: Interpersonal relationship is an important factor of business management, Scholars showed that better interpersonal relationship can result i n better work performance , also Buddhism have positive impacts on interpersonal relationships for youth. Hence Buddhist ideologies could help people to to build better interpersonal relationships with others in workplace, which leads to better work outcome for businesses. Object of the research: The research focuses on the interpersonal relationships in two teams from different companies. Aspect of the research: The research explores how the two managers thinks differently regarding leadership style, con flict resolution. How subordinates evaluate their relationships with their leader and peers. The study contributes to a better understanding of how Buddhist ideologies can impact on interpersonal relationships in businesses. Research aim: The main aim is to figure out the impacts of Buddhist ideologies on interpersonal relationships in businesses by using both qualitative and quantitative analysis. Methods: 1. Interviews with the two managers from two different companies. 2. Surveys with the subordinat es of the two managers. Time period: Both interviews and the surveys were conducted in September 2020. Samples: Team A has a non Buddhist leader with eight subordinates who knows little of Buddhism. Team B has a Buddhist leader with seven subordinates w ith better understandings of Buddhist ideologies. Structure of the study: 1. Introduction of the whole study. II. Theoretical background on existing studies on Buddhist concepts and interpersonal relationships. III. Research methodologies explained. IV. Analysis of the results from interview and survey, the limitations of the study. V. conclusion of the whole study and suggestions for future studies. Main Findings: Within these two teams: 1. Manager with Buddhist knowledges tends to have similar traits with alchemist leader, which is considered to be the highest level of leadership. 2. Buddhist manager tends to eliminate the causes of conflicts rather than solve conflicts with it occurs. 3. Participants with higher Buddhist understanding tend to have better interpersonal relationships with their leader and peers, they tend to be better on conflict resolution and they have collectivistic behavior. 4. Level of Buddhist understanding has sign ificant impacts on leader subordinate relationships, peer to peer relationships. Based on the findings above: Buddhist ideologies have positive impacts on interpersonal relationships in the two teams.
